Cloud consulting services overview

โ—ˆ Solutions

Three engagements.
Each with a named
scope and a fixed fee.

Each service is designed to address a distinct point in an organisation's cloud decision-making process. You can commission one, or work through them in sequence as your readiness develops.

โ—ˆ Methodology

How we approach each engagement.

Each engagement at Mentari Consult follows the same underlying discipline: we begin by understanding your actual position before we form any view about what should happen next. This sounds straightforward, but it is less common than it should be.

In practice, it means the first sessions of any engagement are spent listening โ€” to the platform team about what they operate, to finance about what they are prepared to budget, to security about what constraints they are working within. We do not arrive with a recommendation that we then adapt to what we find.

The output of every engagement is a written document. In some cases it is an assessment; in others it is an options paper or a sequenced calendar. In all cases it is a document your team can read without us present, and that you may share internally as you see fit.

Discovery first

We spend the first portion of any engagement understanding your estate before forming any recommendation.

Written outputs always

Every engagement produces a document the client owns and can act on independently.

Vendor-neutral throughout

No commercial arrangement influences which provider we discuss or recommend.

NDA before discovery

A mutual non-disclosure agreement is in place before any substantive information about your estate is shared.

โ—ˆ Service 01

Cloud Readiness Conversation

RM 870 ยท Two-week engagement

A two-week advisory engagement that examines whether the organisation's current systems, data flows and team practices are ready for a cloud move โ€” and at what pace such a move could sensibly happen. We map workloads, dependencies and regulatory considerations, then deliver a written readiness assessment that names the risks plainly.

Suited for organisations with legacy on-premise estates considering their first material cloud step, or for leadership teams that want an independent view before they engage a cloud provider or implementation partner.

Cloud readiness assessment process

Best suited for

Organisations with significant legacy on-premise infrastructure who have not yet made a cloud commitment. Also useful as an independent check before engaging a cloud provider's own advisory team.

Multi-cloud architecture options analysis

Best suited for

Organisations that have already decided to move to cloud but are uncertain whether to use one provider or distribute workloads across multiple providers. Particularly relevant for those with regulatory obligations around data sovereignty.

โ—ˆ Service 02

Multi-Cloud Architecture Advisory

RM 2,480 ยท Four to six weeks

A longer engagement for organisations weighing distribution of workloads across more than one cloud provider โ€” typically a mix of AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. We consider sovereignty obligations under Malaysian regulations, redundancy goals, talent availability and the real operational cost of multi-cloud.

The output is an architecture options paper paired with a recommendation. Three distinct architecture options are developed before we form any recommendation โ€” so the client can examine the reasoning and understand what they are choosing between.

Migration Path Workshop

RM 1,180 ยท Three workshop days + follow-up

A facilitated three-day workshop that brings together the platform team, security, finance and the relevant business owners. Together we sequence a migration into phases, name the dependencies between them, and surface where rehearsal environments are needed before each phase begins.

The workshop concludes with a sequenced migration calendar the client may adjust as conditions change. It is not a project plan that requires the advisor to be present to maintain โ€” it is a document your people can work from independently and update as circumstances develop.

Pre-read materials prepared and distributed

Three full working days facilitated

Written outputs including sequenced migration calendar

Follow-up call included within two weeks of workshop

Process

1

Pre-workshop: materials prepared, participants briefed

2

Day 1: workload and dependency review with platform team

3

Day 2: sequencing, phase boundaries, rehearsal requirements

4

Day 3: calendar finalisation and cross-team alignment

5

Follow-up call โ€” questions arising after the workshop

Best suited for

Not sure which service fits your situation?

An initial call of thirty minutes usually clarifies which engagement is appropriate โ€” or whether it is worth beginning at all. There is no pressure to commission anything from that conversation.
